Completely Cool

Me being completely on my own and at my age I am completely honest about the service that I have received with the things that I do like and everything else. I will like to say that the address to the site when I was trying to make sure that I had returned the other gear tech that I needed to turn in to receive a discount and recycle the things properly so I don’t have any issues with my personal life or anything that I wouldn’t want anybody else to have access to due to my own issues with my own family and everything else. But I am completely satisfied with the customer service that I have received from the technicians and everything else thanks again for the service that I am definitely looking to keep for the duration of my experience with getting into college and completing my therapy and everything else. -Malquan D. So far, I don’t like it!

About 2 months ago, as I was going to check my bill status on MyTWC app, I was alerted to the new MySPECTRUM app. So I downloaded it and took a look and saw that everything looked okay, but there was something lacking; a way to check and edit my voicemail. So I continued to use the MyTWC app for that purpose. As a matter of fact, I used the MyTWC app about 3 days ago. Now today, I’m told that I have messages on my phone, so I go to check them from my app to clear it out because I know it’s mostly spam calls that are too stupid to recognize a voicemail system. But lo and behold the MyTWC app won’t login, it just keeps referring me to the MySPECTRUM app which still doesn’t allow me to access my voicemail. Other than checking my voicemail, bill amount or equipment status when I see a issue, the app is worthless to me. You can’t schedule or change the scheduled time of a repair, and I can’t check my voicemail without dialing into the system and punching in a bunch of numbers. The older MyTWC app was so much better! Either fix the new app so that it’s comparable, or allow people to continue using the older app. I kinda wanted to give it a 1 star because of what it can’t do, but decided to give it two stars because of what it can. Still got a long way to go to make up the difference.

WARNING: Don’t use this app, it’s a DISASTER! I had trouble with the website so I logged into the app to pay my bill. I attempted to make a $40 payment with my debit card. I selected the option “pay other amount” and fully excepted to have the options to choose the amount of the payment, the payment date, and the payment method (as I do with ALL of my other apps). Unfortunately, after I selected the "choose other amount option" an ad popped up asking if I liked the app. Annoyed by the interruption, I clicked no. Then I received a receipt for a payment of $103 to a credit card I stopped using months ago!!
I searched the app for an option to edit or cancel the payment but found none. I searched for an option to change my payment method and to delete the credit card but found none.
I called Spectrum and 1.5 hours later after speaking to 4 different representatives, I was told that there is nothing that Spectrum can do. I was advised to call my bank to stop the payment (in my own time, dime, and energy). Furthermore, representatives were rude and didn't seem to care about my concerns at all.
Because of that experience and the slow and intermittent WiFi, I will probably cancel my account!! 🙃

Steps To Pay Your Spectrum Bill Online

The first step is to go to Spectrum.net and sign in to your account.  To pay, you’ll need to be a primary account holder or admin on the plan.

Then, go to the billing tab which is between the Account Summary and Your Services tab.

Once there, click Make a Payment and go through the steps.  You’ll need to select a payment amount and a payment date.  After you’ve selected those, you’ll need to add a card if you haven’t previously saved a payment method.

You can pay by credit/debit card, checking account, and savings account.  There are no additional fees for paying via credit card vs your checking account.

On the billing tab, you also have the option to enroll in autopay and paperless billing.  You don’t need one to have the other.

Spectrum doesn’t provide paperless or autopay discounts.  Only sign up for autopay if it’s more convenient for you.  One issue about autopay is that it reduces the amount of time that you have to dispute billing errors with Spectrum.

It’s much easier to correct your bill before Spectrum takes your money.

How To Make Spectrum Payment by Phone

You can pay your Spectrum bill by phone by calling (833) 267-6094. 

You’ll be fast-tracked to the phone payment phone tree if you’re calling with a phone associated with your Spectrum plan.

If not, they’ll ask you to provide a phone number associated with the account or your account number.

Once you’re authenticated, the IVR will read out how much your outstanding balance is and when your due date is.  They’ll then ask you whether you’ll like to pay some or all of the bill.

The system will warn you that you’ll be charged $5 if you talk to a customer support representative.

You’ll need to provide your 4 digit security code before you pay.  This 4 digit code is available on your Spectrum billing statement.

Tell the system how much you want to pay and when.  Key in or read out the payment information you want to give. 

Spectrum’s phone payment system is much clunkier compared to Sprint’s or AT&T.’s  The voice/key system is weird. It’s easy to make a mistake and get sent to a representative where you’ll be billed an additional $5. It’s a lot easier to pay online or by check.

Spectrum Billing By Check

You can also pay your Spectrum bill by mail via check or money order.  If you get a paper bill, Spectrum provides an envelope that you can use to mail your check.

Tear the bottom half of the first page of your paper bill and put it in the provided envelope.  If you do this, you won’t need to write down where the mail needs to be sent to.

Before mailing your check, make sure that it has postage.

If you don’t get a paper statement, check your paper bill to see where Spectrum wants you to mail the check.

The most common address is PO Box 60074 City of Industry CA 91716-0074.

Spectrum Bill Pay For Check

Make the check payable to Spectrum.  They ask that you include your Spectrum account number on the memo/description portion of the check.

Mail takes a couple of days to send. Make sure that you leave enough time before the due date to send the check.

Paying Your Spectrum Bill In Store

You can also pay your Spectrum bill by going to a Spectrum store and paying at the counter.

There’s no additional processing fee when making a payment in store.

You can pay via checking/savings account, debit/credit card, and cash/money order if you pay in-store.

This could be a good option for you if you don’t have a bank account and cash and money order is the only payment method available to you.

My Spectrum App Bill Pay

The final way to pay your Spectrum bill is with the My Spectrum app.

There’s not much difference between the My Spectrum App vs Spectrum.net.  The My Spectrum App is basically an app version of the website.  The Spectrum app is more mobile-optimized.

Download the My Spectrum app and log into your account.  Your account information will be the same info as what you use to sign in to Spectrum.net.

Once you’re inside the app, go to the make a payment section.  You’ll then need to add a payment method – this can be your checking/saving account information or your debit/credit card information.

Once they’ve verified your payment method, a calendar will show up and you’ll be asked what payment date you want to choose.

Choose what works for you and then click pay now.

Time Warner Cable Bill Pay

At this point, Time Warner Cable and Spectrum are fully integrated.  You can pay your Time Warner Cable bill with the same method as people pay with their Spectrum bills.

Step-by-step guide to understanding your bill

There are three ways you can view your Spectrum invoice. This can be done online, by mail or through the app. Be sure to have your username and password ready to gain access if you are viewing the invoice online. There are a couple of things you should keep in mind when reviewing your bill.

Your statement cycle starts on the first day of your service. It will include charges for services, equipment leases, installation charges and taxes. Statements after that are billed one month in advance.

What’s included in your bill

The first page of the bill will list the itemized details for the account. Included in this page is your account number and PIN which you should retain for your records. You will also find important messages and reminders on this page.

Typically, the invoice will contain the following:

  1. Account Info: This includes your statement date, account number, and security code.
  2. Summary: This is your charges, payments, and credits for this billing cycle.
  3. Current Charges and Due Date: This section details your payments received and due date.
  4. Spectrum News: Important account information, news and promotions. You’ll also find special events, savings opportunities, news and promotions.
  5. Charge Details: These are itemized details during the billing period.
  6. Adjustments: An explanation of the credits and fees applied to the account.
  7. Fees and Charges: These are fees imposed by the local, state and federal government.
  8. Other Charges: This includes one-time charges, such as installation fees, Pay-Per-View purchases, On Demand Rentals, change of service charges, and applicable trouble call charges. For TV customers, a Broadcast TV surcharge is also assessed to Charter Communications by the local broadcasters or local network affiliated TV stations.
  9. If you live in VT, NY, NJ, MA or Kauai, you’ll see partial or prorated charges when you make changes to your account or service after your first bill. Those charges can be in the form of a credit or debit.
