If you’ve ever taken a close look at your phone bill, you may have noticed some suspicious numbers. These additional charges, usually for some add-on service you never requested, have been crammed into bills by most major carriers for years. Now the federal government is breaking up the party.

Verizon is being ordered by the Federal Communications Commission to pay a $90 million settlement for stuffing extraneous charges into consumers’ bills, according to TechCrunch. Sprint will fork over $68 million for the very same reason.

The charges singled out in the FCC’s scathing rebuke were for “premium number to pay verizon phone bill messaging services,” which cost customers an extra $10 a month on average. About $70 million of the fine being paid by Verizon will go toward repaying current and former customers for the unwarranted charges.

In a press release, the FCC laid out how the fines will break down:

Under the terms of the agreements the Seaside beach house rentals announced today, Verizon’s $90 million settlement will include a minimum of $70 million to fund a consumer redress program, $16 million for state governments participating in the settlement, and $4 million as a fine paid to the U.S. Treasury. Sprint’s $68 million settlement will include a minimum of $50 million to fund a consumer redress program, $12 million for state governments participating in the settlement, and $6 million as a fine paid to the U.S. Treasury.The settlements were negotiated in coordination with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the attorneys general of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The settlement only appears to cover cell phone bills, although consumers (myself included) have noticed similarly fraudulent charges on their Verizon home Internet bills, as well. (For a good year, I paid $10 a month to Verizon for a bogus “security package” I never ordered or noticed before.)

The FCC is cracking down on these kinds of practices, which it describes as “fraudulent” and “unlawful.” Hopefully for consumers’ sake, this scrutiny continues. But just to be safe, you might want to double-check your phone bill this month.

These are random and you’re only going to be able to take advantage of them if you know they’re going on.  They’re often state-specific.

If you’re a long-time or valuable Verizon customer, agents sometimes provide loyalty $10-$20 a month discounts for 12 months.

Monthly loyalty credits will either be available on your plan or not. If neither of these options works, you may want to consider changing your plan with Verizon.

Verizon changes its plan structures every couple of months of years to react to competition from other service providers like AT&T and T-Mobile.  If you’ve been a long-time customer, it’s likely that your plan hasn’t changed and is no longer being offered.

You can save significantly with these plans.  Besides single-line discounts, you should check to see if you can save by bundling the insurance coverages for all the phones of your plan rather than getting individual insurance on each phone.

You can save about $6 for each phone per month. We’ve seen savings in excess of $50 a month for negotiating the best insurance package for clients. If none of these tactics work, there are other guaranteed ways to save money.

"Automatic Bill Payment" Means Verizon Pays Your Bill, Then Sends You Another One

Last week, I was suddenly unable to log into my Verizon account to retrieve e-mail. My DSL and phone line still worked, but when I tried to log in on Verizon.net I got a message simply stating that my account had been “disabled.” There was no explanation, no instructions, and no contact information. I searched the site for a phone number, first clicking through “help” and then a “contact” link, which asked me whether I’d prefer e-mail or phone. With no way to e-mail, I clicked “phone” and was prompted to log in. Upon doing so I got the same message about my disabled account. No information.

I visited gethuman.com and dialed the number posted for Verizon. I spoke with someone at Verizon who told me that my account was overdue, even though I could have sworn I checked my bill online a month ago and all was fine, set up with automatic payment. They assured me I owed them, and the account person on the phone could not take my payment. She had to direct me to another system that would take my payment, and then I’d have to hang up and call the first number back to get my account reinstated. She said this might all result in a few days of disruption to my DSL service.

She transferred me to the system, which simply asked me to enter the amount I’d like to pay. The woman had never told me what I owed, and the system wouldn’t tell me either. So, I had to call back, go through the waiting process, finally got the figure (more than $200!), transferred back, paid off the amount, hung up, and called the first number for a third time. This person told me that she couldn’t simply turn my account back on – she had to cancel my DSL and put it through as a new order, a process that would take up to two weeks during which time I’d have no DSL service. I pointed out that my DSL was still connected, and I had now paid off the bill, so why would she have to cancel it? The woman claimed that it was because they needed to give me a new account number and there was nothing to be done about it.

Thinking this was absurd, I decided to check my options and see if I should just switch to another service. I made a list of other providers, but before I switched I wanted to make walmart money card number sure that Verizon couldn’t streamline the process to get my DSL back up and running quickly.

The next day was Friday and my DSL was still working. From my office, I called Verizon one last time. I explained the ordeal to the man, pointing out that service was still on and the account was paid in full, but I needed my e-mail log-in turned back on. He said that was no problem, that he could have it running in a few hours. I asked him repeatedly whether or not my DSL would remain on, and each time he said yes. While we were on the line, he asked if I wanted to upgrade to faster DSL. I had been considering it, so I agreed on the basis that my DSL would have no interruption in service. He assured me I’d have it all weekend, and on Monday the faster service would start.

Arriving home from work Friday night, I found that my service was disconnected, and it remained so all weekend.

On Monday I came to work and was finally able to log into Verizon.net. This allowed me to view past bills, which did state that they were paid in full every month automatically. I called Verizon again and demanded to know what was going on. The man explained that because I originally asked for my (Verizon) DSL to be on the same bill as my (Verizon) phone line, the way they handle it is to have Verizon’s phone department pay off the Verizon DSL bill every month and add that amount to the Verizon phone bill. Logging onto my Verizon account would only show an amount paid in full each month, which I assumed was paid by my bank account but was in fact paid by. . VERIZON.

This explanation took awhile to sink in with me. When I finally got it, I moved on to the next problem. Why was my DSL shut off? The man explained pnc bank locations in the usa me that the man I spoke with on Friday was mistaken, and that there was no way to stop the shut-off order which had apparently been sent out Wednesday but wasn’t acted upon until Friday. The third person I spoke with was the correct one – it would take two weeks to reconnect. He made it clear there was no way around this.

I was so frustrated by that point that I asked him to please stop the DSL upgrade I had ordered and cancel the DSL altogether, as well as the phone line, because I had no desire to do business with Verizon any longer. He put me on hold for five minutes while he wrote a detailed note of everything we discussed (covering his ass, I’m sure), and then confirmed that all services would be shut off. There was absolutely no attempt to keep me as a customer.

On a side-note, I then called AT&T and asked for information on the cheapest phone and Internet plan they had, explaining I wanted something comparable to what I was paying through Verizon (less than $30 a month). The woman first told me the cheapest combo was $65, and when I balked she pretended to spend three seconds looking again and said the cheapest was actually $45. When I asked a third time if that was the lowest price available she changed her mind again and said it was actually $35. I hung up on her. If it weren’t for the fact that I need the Internet to run my web 1st financial federal credit union routing number and do my weekly podcast, I’d settle for using the library. Now I’m not sure what I’m going to do, since I’m in no mood to hand over money to liars.

Sprint’s $68 million settlement will include a minimum of $50 million to fund a consumer redress program, $12 million for state governments participating in the settlement, and $6 million as a fine paid to the U.S. Treasury.The settlements were negotiated in coordination with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the attorneys general of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The settlement only appears to cover cell phone bills, although consumers (myself included) have noticed similarly fraudulent charges on their Verizon home Internet bills, as well. (For a good year, I paid $10 a month to Verizon for a bogus “security package” I never ordered or noticed before.)

The FCC is cracking down on these kinds of practices, which it describes as “fraudulent” and “unlawful.” Hopefully for consumers’ sake, this scrutiny continues. But just to be safe, you might want to double-check your phone bill this month.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- If you thought your electric or natural gas bill had a whopper of an error, you wouldn't have to pay it. Same thing for a telephone landline. You wouldn't have to pay the amount in dispute, at least not while it was being investigated.

But if you disagree with your cellphone bill? There's no clear guarantee of what that dispute process looks like.

This apparent hypocrisy is surfacing as a big question in the weeks after thousands of consumers nationwide stepped forward to lodge complaints about high cellphone bills. The complaints, which have flooded into The Plain Dealer and the Federal Communications Commission, mostly question charges for supposed data use and mostly target Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest cellphone carrier with 112 million customers.

Kerrie Riddle of Springfield, Missouri, has been complaining for months to Verizon, which says her data usage has tripled. She kept increasing her plan size to avoid costly overage fees, but still has occasional overages. Some months, her bill is up only $30. The worst was in July, when her bill was $100 more than it used to be. She and her husband need their cellphone. They don't have a landline.

"They keep sucking me dry," said Riddle, who is retired. "When is enough enough?"

Complaints that have bombarded The Plain Dealer have peculiar similarities. One of the similarities, whether the data overages started last year or more recently, is this: Everyone says their data spiked to ridiculous levels starting in July.

Like thousands of other Verizon customers, Riddle insists her cellular habits haven't changed substantially. A little bit? Maybe. But not enough that she's using triple the data she did last year. Riddle has a little online business where she buys and sells items from estate sales. Her husband is a retired state highway patrolman. They believe they're responsible people.

"I have called Verizon many, many times," she said. "Last month, I was literally bawling my eyes out on the phone . . . It's just greed. How much money can they suck out of people?

"When you call them, they just say, 'I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do for you."

How to get answers from Verizon

Consumers who want to dig into their data usage should politely ask Verizon customer service for an explanation of their usage. 

Make sure you're speaking with a Verizon employee, not a contractor.

Tell them you've read newspaper stories proving that Verizon can look up usage by app and IP address for individual customers.

Tell them they can get the IP address out of their MARS system. They may say they can't, but they can.

Tell them you'd like them to do that for you please.

Be nice. Be pleasant. Don't be nasty or sarcastic. Tell them you're desperate and you need help.

Tell them you're just not paying your bill until Verizon tells you what they're charging you for.

Tell them if you don't get resolution, you're going to file a complaint with the FCC. Then do it if necessary.

Margot Saunders, an attorney with the National Consumer Law Center in Boston, said there are two issues working against consumers: First, forced arbitration clauses in wireless contracts make it more difficult for consumers to bring claims against companies, she said.

Second, Saunders said, "It is not clear which agency would have jurisdiction over this issue." She noted that consumers can file formal complaints with the FCC, as well as the Federal Trade Commission.

People have been doing that, in droves. And people who have filed complaints with the FCC are getting responses, in many cases.

It's interesting that cellular companies aren't regulated like other utilities. In Ohio, for example, utilities that provide electricity, natural gas and landline phone service are regulated by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Cellular companies? Nope. "We don't regulate wireless," said PUCO spokesman Matt Schilling.

But if you received an electric bill or gas bill that was $100 or $500 or $1,000 more than you thought it should be, you could call the PUCO. If an informal complaint was lodged, the PUCO would mediate a resolution, Schilling said.

If that didn't work, a formal complaint could be filed, which would mean you could avoid paying the disputed amount while it was being investigated. That means you would not have to pay immediately and your service would not be disconnected, Schilling said.

If it turned out that you did in fact owe the entire bill, then the PUCO requires utility companies to offer payment plans without penalties.

One might argue that a cellphone isn't as important as electricity or natural gas or a landline phone. However, 47 percent of U.S. households have only cellular service, not a landline, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Mark Durbin, spokesman for FirstEnergy Corp. in Akron, said a two- or three-page electric bill is generally easier to understand than a cellular bill that can be 15 or 20 or 25 pages.

That aside, FirstEnergy is committed to working with customers on possible billing errors or bills that are accurate but too large to handle in one month. "If it's contested, we won't issue a shut-off notice," Durbin said. "We are more than willing to work with customers."

The utility will help the customer try to explore reasons a bill might have gone up: a space heater than ran too much, an air conditioning setting that was low during a particularly hot month, a faulty meter, etc. "We try to help the customer find a reason it might have gone up. We try to come to a resolution," Durbin said.

Customers of Verizon Wireless, however, say the company has a different mode of operation. When customers call, Verizon doesn't treat the eye-popping bill as an anomaly.

"Every time you call, they want to blame you. And then they want to sell you another plan with more data," Riddle said.

That's what Cassandra Smith of Kentwood, Michigan, did -- buy more data.

"Since the beginning of the year, we have increased our gigabytes from 10 per month to 24 per month, and that still isn't enough," said Smith, whose family has three phones.

"Our phone bills has gone up by $80 per month just for the regular data and then we have the overage charges on top of that," she said. The bill for mid-July through mid-August was the worst, at $805. That's $555 in overages.

"We contacted Verizon and they said they can't do anything about the extra charges," she said. "The only thing they would do is place the new feature on our account (safety mode) that slows our data down if we go over. I have looked at the times data was reportedly used and it was early a.m. times that didn't make sense."

In early September, Verizon rolled out its "safety mode" feature to all customers who have one of the newer data plans. This means that when a customer reaches his data limit, he still has access to data for the remainder of the billing cycle. But it's at a much slower rate -- 128 kilobits per second. Some people say it's like the old days of using a computer with dial-up Internet service. Consumer groups say 128 kbps is OK for using email, but not for playing videos or streaming music.

Even if it's slow, the prospect of no overage fees is definitely welcomed by many Verizon customers.

Verizon spokesman Steve Van Dinter was asked on Sept. 9 that if the "safety mode" feature that Verizon is touting is such a great service for customers, then why isn't offered to all customers, not just those with new plans? He said he would find out the answer. The company hasn't responded to that or more than a dozen other questions in the last month.

Some experts say the root of the problem is that cellular service has evolved from a luxury to a necessity, now that nearly half of households have a cellphone but not a landline.

Colleen Boothby, a telecommunications regulatory lawyer in Washington, D.C., said regulations say that "telephone bills must contain clear and conspicuous disclosure of any information that the subscriber may need to make inquiries about, or contest, charges on the bill."

Yet data usage is intangible. Cellular bills aren't like medical bills that are itemized, or like car repair bills that are itemized. There's no breakdown of the data usage, by amount or date.

"I'm a telecom regulatory attorney, and I can't figure out my phone bill,'' said Boothby, a former lawyer for the FCC. "It's stacked against the customer.''

"Automatic Bill Payment" Means Verizon Pays Your Bill, Then Sends You Another One

Last week, I was suddenly unable to log into my Verizon account to retrieve e-mail. My DSL and phone line still worked, but when I tried to log in on Verizon.net I got a message simply stating that my account had been “disabled.” There was no explanation, no instructions, and no contact information. I searched the site for a phone number, first clicking through “help” and then a “contact” link, which asked me whether I’d prefer e-mail or phone. With no way to e-mail, I clicked “phone” and was prompted to log in. Upon doing so I got the same message about my disabled account. No information.

I visited gethuman.com and dialed the number posted for Verizon. I spoke with someone at Verizon who told me that my account was overdue, even though I could have sworn I checked my bill online a month ago and all was fine, set up with automatic payment. They assured me I owed them, and the account person on the phone could not take my payment. She had to direct me to another system that would take my payment, and then I’d have to hang up and call the first number back to get my account reinstated. She said this might all result in a few days of disruption to my DSL service.

She transferred me to the system, which simply asked me to enter the amount I’d like to pay. The woman had never told me what I owed, and the system wouldn’t tell me either. So, I had to call back, go through the waiting process, finally got the figure (more than $200!), transferred back, paid off the amount, hung up, and called the first number for a third time. This person told me that she couldn’t simply turn my account back on – she had to cancel my DSL and put it through as a new order, a process that would take up to two weeks during which time I’d have no DSL service. I pointed out that my DSL was still connected, and I had now paid off the bill, so why would she have to cancel it? The woman claimed that it was because they needed to give me a new account number and there was nothing to be done about it.

Thinking this was absurd, I decided to check my options and see if I should just switch to another service. I made a list of other providers, but before I switched I wanted to make absolutely sure that Verizon couldn’t streamline the process to get my DSL back up and running quickly.

The next day was Friday and my DSL was still working. From my office, I called Verizon one last time. I explained the ordeal to the man, pointing out that service was still on and the account was paid in full, but I needed my e-mail log-in turned back on. He said that was no problem, that he could have it running in a few hours. I asked him repeatedly whether or not my DSL would remain on, and each time he said yes. While we were on the line, he asked if I wanted to upgrade to faster DSL. I had been considering it, so I agreed on the basis that my DSL would have no interruption in service. He assured me I’d have it all weekend, and on Monday the faster service would start.

Arriving home from work Friday night, I found that my service was disconnected, and it remained so all weekend.

On Monday I came to work and was finally able to log into Verizon.net. This allowed me to view past bills, which did state that they were paid in full every month automatically. I called Verizon again and demanded to know what was going on. The man explained that because I originally asked for my (Verizon) DSL to be on the same bill as my (Verizon) phone line, the way they handle it is to have Verizon’s phone department pay off the Verizon DSL bill every month and add that amount to the Verizon phone bill. Logging onto my Verizon account would only show an amount paid in full each month, which I assumed was paid by my bank account but was in fact paid by . . . VERIZON.

This explanation took awhile to sink in with me. When I finally got it, I moved on to the next problem. Why was my DSL shut off? The man explained to me that the man I spoke with on Friday was mistaken, and that there was no way to stop the shut-off order which had apparently been sent out Wednesday but wasn’t acted upon until Friday. The third person I spoke with was the correct one – it would take two weeks to reconnect. He made it clear there was no way around this.

I was so frustrated by that point that I asked him to please stop the DSL upgrade I had ordered and cancel the DSL altogether, as well as the phone line, because I had no desire to do business with Verizon any longer. He put me on hold for five minutes while he wrote a detailed note of everything we discussed (covering his ass, I’m sure), and then confirmed that all services would be shut off. There was absolutely no attempt to keep me as a customer.

On a side-note, I then called AT&T and asked for information on the cheapest phone and Internet plan they had, explaining I wanted something comparable to what I was paying through Verizon (less than $30 a month). The woman first told me the cheapest combo was $65, and when I balked she pretended to spend three seconds looking again and said the cheapest was actually $45. When I asked a third time if that was the lowest price available she changed her mind again and said it was actually $35. I hung up on her. If it weren’t for the fact that I need the Internet to run my web site and do my weekly podcast, I’d settle for using the library. Now I’m not sure what I’m going to do, since I’m in no mood to hand over money to liars.

If you don’t have your My Verizon account or for some reason, you can’t sign in to your existing account, then go to ebillpay and enter your billing zip code and either your Verizon account number or cell phone number. Next, select your preferred payment option, review the transaction to ensure the information is correct and then finally select ‘Send Payment’.

How to See a Breakdown of Your Verizon Bill Online

Verizon's detailed bills make it easier to separate business expenses from personal expenses.

Verizon enables you to view a detailed breakdown of your monthly bills through its My Verizon website. Once you register for the online service, you can see a breakdown of how much you were charged for each Verizon service and obtain a detailed listing of the phone numbers you called from your mobile phone. The website also enables you to pay your bills, add services or change your account information.

Register

Navigate to the Verizon website (link in Resources) and select "My Verizon Sign In" under Customer Support

Click "Register Now" and enter your 10-digit Verizon phone number. If you use Verizon only for cable or Internet services, enter the phone number on your billing account. Click "Next" to continue.

Enter either your account number, the amount of your last payment, or the amount of your last bill if you're a Verizon home customer, and then click "Continue."

Create a My Verizon username and password, and then answer the secret questions and provide your email address. Accept the terms of service and click "Create My Verizon Account."

Enter your temporary registration PIN when you sign into My Verizon for the first time. If you receive your monthly Verizon Wireless bill and you notice that something is wrong, it’s important that you figure out where the hidden fees came from, and whether they are accurate or not. We explain how to understand the hidden fees in your Verizon Wireless bill and what to do if you were incorrectly charged.

It is very important that you look over your Verizon Wireless bill every month so that you can verify when hidden fees manifest, and when you are being charged incorrectly.

Understanding your monthly bill

When you sign up for service with Verizon Wireless you get some combination of voice, text, and data and you agree to a monthly rate usually around $39 per month or $75 per month, but when you get your bill you might notice that the actual amount is significantly higher than what was advertised. So where do these hidden costs come from?

Overview of your bill

When you look at your Verizon Wireless bill it will show you on the left hand side your account plan which dictates what plan you have, what the monthly charges, what the allowances are, and any discounts you have. On the right hand side you start off with your breakdown of charges, breakdown of shared usage, payments including your previous balance and your balance forward, and then your account charges and credits.

Smartphone Line Access

For every line you have that is a smartphone you will be charged $20 per month. This has nothing to do with your data usage or the device payment plan. It is simply a fee for the luxury of using a smartphone.

This does not cover the one-time $20 upgrade fee that you face if you choose to upgrade your phone to a newer model, or the one-time $20 activation fee that you have to pay to turn your new phone on.

Device Payment Agreement

When you look at your bill it will show you things like the large lump sum payment that you have to pay if you decide to terminate early, basically the balance that you still owe on something like a new phone you are paying off as part of your contract. When you sign up for an average two-year contract with a new phone part of the cost in your monthly bill is a monthly payment or the overall cost of that phone. You might get a new iPhone at a discounted rate of only $200 but you have to pay for the full amount over the course of your two year contract. This amount will get lower as you continue to pay each month.

Usage and Purchase Charges

Under this section you will see information for the voice minutes you have used. Most plans today have unlimited voice but you’ll still see the amount that was used. This gives you a breakdown of what calls were made, where they came from, when they happen, and how long they happened. Depending on how much you use your phone this can be a particularly lengthy section of your bill.

This is also where you receive a breakdown of your messages and your data. If you signed up for any promotional deal that gives you unlimited data, unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, but only for a short amount of time, you might notice that subsequent bills have fees that were unexpected which coincided with the expiration date of that particular promotion.

This is also the area where you would see hidden fees like international calling, charitable donations are purchases that you made via text message, roaming fees, or other usage charges that you might not have anticipated. Even something as simple as calling 411 for information can result in a minor hidden fee.

What are the hidden fees in my Verizon Wireless bill?

There are other hidden fees that take the form of Verizon Wireless’ Surcharges. Verizon Wireless has its own surcharges that it puts into your bill. These are usually the most well-hidden of charges because they are not explained when you sign up or on any of the promotional advertisements.In effect most of these are charges that Verizon gets and then Verizon disseminates those charges to its customers rather than having it eat away at company profits.

Fed Universal Service Charge

This is a program that helps subsidize phone and internet coverage for rural or low-income areas and telecom operators have to pay it and then are allowed to recoup that cost from their consumers which Verizon does.

Regulatory Charge

The FCC charges telephone operators an annual fee and the FCC does allow operators to recover those fees from their subscribers by adding it to the monthly bill. Verizon doesn’t have to, but they do so this is another hidden fee you might see on your Verizon Wireless bill.

Administrative Charge

Verizon describes this charge as something to help recuperate the costs Verizon Wireless has to pay for facility fees, the cost of doing business, property taxes, and other regulatory obligations.

Gross Receipts Surcharge

The state in which you live might charge commercial enterprises like Verizon Wireless a gross receipts tax on their revenue if their revenue exceeds a certain amount. Businesses are not required to pass this fee onto their consumers but Verizon does.

Local Business License Surcharge

Some Municipal areas charge a local business license tax or companies that have gross revenue above a certain threshold and for telecom companies that is 0.5% of their gross revenue earned only in that jurisdiction. Again this is a hidden see that Verizon is not required to pass on to its consumers, but chooses to pass on.

Taxes, Governmental Surcharges and Fees

Then there is the issue of taxes and other government surcharges.

State 911 fee

The first is a state 911 fee. States impose a charge on every phone whether it’s landline or wireless phone to contribute to 911 services. The amount will vary based on where you live.

Communication sales tax

You might be subject to a Communications sales tax for your wireless phone or landline. This is based on the state in which you live. You might also have to pay a state tax and a municipal tax, like a 5% state tax and an additional 1% local tax which gets combined on your Verizon bill in the form of 1 fee.

Am I able to refute the charge from Verizon wireless?

If you get your Verizon Wireless bill and you see things on there which are incorrect, fees you shouldn’t have been charged, you can file a claim with Verizon Wireless through regular customer service channels. This gives Verizon Wireless an opportunity to try and fix the problem. There are plenty of situations where you might have been charged something incorrectly because a promotion wasn’t honored or credit that should have appeared on your account and been put toward something never made it there.

What can I do if I was incorrectly charged a fee?

If you don't see Use This Mobile Number, or want to use a different number

If you're on a different phone, or using an iPad or iPod touch, you might want to use a different number when you set up mobile phone billing. 

When you change your payment method, tap  "Use a Different Mobile Number" and enter the mobile number for the phone connected to the account that you want to bill to.

An SMS message with a one-time code is sent to the mobile number that you provided. Check the mobile phone for the message, and enter the code on the device that you're using to set up your payment method, then tap Verify to verify the code. If you don’t receive the code immediately, tap "Resend Code" to try again.

If you still don't see an option to use a mobile number, then your carrier might not support mobile phone billing.


*If you see an alert regarding a spending limit, call your carrier to set up a spending limit.
